When a nationally televised moment between Cal McNair and C. J. Stroud unexpectedly went viral, I helped turn it into one of the biggest social moments in Houston Texans history. I shot and edited the follow-up video that transformed an awkward missed high five into an award-winning comedy piece — blending fast-turn storytelling, humor, and brand authenticity in less than 24 hours.
The video became the second most-viewed social post in Texans history, generating more than 23 million views across team channels and widespread national attention. It later won Best Comedy Video at the 18th Annual Shorty Awards, where I accepted the award in New York alongside the Texans digital team. The campaign was recognized alongside major entertainment names including Jimmy Kimmel and John Mulaney, highlighting how strong storytelling can transcend sports and connect with a much broader audience.
